1 piece of gum to be chewed when patient feels the urge to smoke. Max duration: 1 yr. For tobacco consumption <20 cigarettes daily. Max 25 pieces daily. After 3 mth, gradually reduce dose daily until patient has stopped using the gum completely.
May be taken with or without food: Chew gum until the taste becomes strong, then rest it between the gums & the cheek. When the taste fades, start chewing it again. Repeat the chewing routine for 30 min.
Max 1 piece of gum at a time. Hyperthyroidism, HTN, angina, circulatory problems, diabetes, stroke, persistent indigestion, severe sore throat, stomach ulcer, serious hepatic or renal disease, fructose intolerance.
